Happy Thanksgiving From Your GoGather Family

As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the year and all of things that I personally have to be thankful for. I am fortunate to have a family that is in good health, employment that I love, friends that keep me going, a roof over my head, food in my tummy, and so much more. I feel blessed. I feel gratitude. I feel love.

Two years ago, I wasn’t in this same state of bliss. Two years ago, I was down on my luck, or so it felt. I had lost my job after making the leap to move to a new city and buy a new home. With a newborn.  At the time, I felt scared, lost, and not extremely hopeful. But as life moves on, we grow. We change. We adapt. We realize that our “plan” falling through isn’t actually the end of the world. And hopefully, we become just a little more compassionate, a little more open minded, a little more human.

Every day, I strive to teach my kids compassion and the value of health, and friends, and family. Just today, I had to have a talk with my six-year-old about being grateful for the experiences that she has. It’s hard to explain, really, because there often is nothing tangible to prove an experience’s worth. An experience isn’t the same as a new toy to a six-year-old. It’s hard for them to understand. But it is an invaluable lesson. Not everything that is worth something is “something.”

I truly believe that you can apply this philosophy, if you will, to both personal and work life.  The experience is what creates a memory. The experience is what captures your soul. We long for it. Some people live for it.

This post is going to be short and sweet- because this week, I want to keep it real. On behalf of my GoGather family, we are humbled. Humbled and thankful for our wonderful clients, our colleagues, our business partners, our vendors. We love what we do. Every. Single. Day. And we are so very fortunate to get to do it with and for all of those that believe in us.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
